Dr. Shakila T. Shamsu is a nationally acclaimed education policy expert with four decades of experience in advancing inclusive, equitable and future-ready learning systems. She has served as Officer on Special Duty (XII Plan & NEP) in the Ministry of Education and as Joint Adviser in the Planning Commission, Government of India, and acted as Secretary to the Committee to Draft the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Dr. Shamsu has led major initiatives in institutional transformation, quality infusion, faculty development and teacher education.
At Edinwood she will provide strategic mentorship to develop NEP-aligned curricula, implement learner-centric pedagogies, lead comprehensive teacher capacity building, embed future technologies into teaching, assessment and engagement, and help align the institution’s mission with social-impact goals including the SDGs.
